Submit a Proposal

To participate in the Online Symposium on 27 September 2023 please submit proposal for a panel.

Panel Proposal (online)

A panel proposal for the online symposium should bring together three to five people to address socioculturally specific issues with multimodality in mind. Each accepted panel will be allocated a one-hour slot.

All types of a panel will be considered as long as it is curated (e.g., short paper presentations, conversations, debates, chaired questioning). For example, a panel could consist of four ten-minute presentations and a twenty-minute discussion. Or, a panel could be five people discussing critical questions related to the conference themes.

In the Submission Form, you will need to provide

  • Title of the panel
  • Type of the panel (indicate briefly, e.g., short paper presentations, conversations, debates, chaired questioning, or something else)
  • Name and email address of the chair
  • An introduction to the panel (250-300 words) and keywords (3-5)
  • Information about each presentation and people, including
    • Title of presentation, name of presenter(s), abstract (250-300 words) and keywords (3-5)

Given that we invite different types of panel submissions, the information about each presentation that you fill in could vary. We provide five spaces for filling in the details – please use them in the way that suits your proposal best.

Please note: we do not accept individual presentation proposals for the online session.

To present your work at the conference in London on 28-29 September 2023 please consider submitting a prosposal for either of the following formats.
